Characteristics

  • does not discolor surface (does not contain thinners and isocyanate)

Application method

Thanks to this innovative application system, there is no need to use additional tools for applying Marine Polymer. Moreover, the system ensures consistent dosing force of the sealant throughout the entire application.

POLYMER is recomended for use on :

  • laminates polyester and epoxyd
  • gelcoat
  • steel (galvanized, aluminium, acid resistance)
  • glass
  • wood
  • varnished and  primed surfaces
  • plexi, polycarbonate (without discoloration on surface)
  • various types of plastic except PE,PP,PTFE
  • concrete and mineral substrates  (ie. gypsum)

Surface preparation

Apply on surfaces no need to priming.

Steel surfaces is recommend to prime using Epoxy Anticorrosion primer 4:1 Sea-Line.

Wood and concrete is recommend to prime using Epoxy Woodprimer 10:4 Sea-Line.
In case of application on natural wood, its humidity should be lower than 20%.

Clean surfaces from rust, damage paint coatings, etc. To increase adhesion, is recommend to sand surfaces by sand paper :

  • wood: P80~P120
  • laminate: P200~P400
  • steel: P80~P120
  • plastic (various types): P200~P400

Clean surfaces from dust and contamination.

    Why the epoxy filler does not harden?

    Possible causes

    • Incorrect proportion of base and herdener,
    • Too low temperature of ambient and surface (less than 10ﹾC),
    • Mixing two components from two different manufacturers,

    How to prevent

    • Apply the correct proportions of components
    • Maintain steady temperature (around 20ﹾC) during the whole hardening process,
    • Use base and hardener from the same manufacturer

    How to remove

    • The uncured mass requires complete removal from the surface.

    Why does the paint have no adhesion?

    Possible causes

    • Wrong surface preparation,
    • Skipping the primer in the system application process,
    • Use of universal thinners or replacements ,
    • Paint incompatibility.

    How to prevent

    • Correct surface preparation (grinding, clearing, degreasing),
    • Use primers which improve adhesion of paints,
    • Use thinners which are dedicated to each paints,
    • Use of paints which are compatible to each other.

    How to remove

    • Grind, clean and paint again.

    Can I mix polyurethane paints to get a different color?

    Yes, you can mix Sea-Line polyurethane paints. The only difference are the pigments of polyurethane paints that determine the color of the paint. But remember to keep the right proportions of base, hardener and thinner.
