17-19.11. BOATSHOW 2017 Trade in Łódź. We invite all sailors, boatbuilders amateur and professionals, owners of large and small boats to meet with us during BOATSHOW 2017 Trade in Łódź.

BOATSHOW 2017 to również darmowe warsztaty i porady prawne, prezentacje akwenów oraz spotkania ludzi sportów wodnych znajdą się w programie tegorocznej edycji  Targów Żeglarstwa i Sportów Wodnych Boatshow 2017.

W dniach 17 – 19 listopada do Łodzi przyjedzie kilka tysięcy żeglarzy i motorowodniaków, którzy będą mogli wziąć udział w licznych wydarzeniach towarzyszących. Będą to między innymi:

  • Otwarte spotkanie z prezesem Polskiego Związku Żeglarskiego
  • Porady dotyczące relacji kapitan – załoga w rejsie morskim
  • Prezentacje dobrych praktyk morskich w Grecji i na Bałtyku
  • Aspekty prawne użytkowania morskich jachtów szkoleniowych
  • Omówienie błędów w nawigacji elektronicznej
  • Zastosowanie szkutnictwa w pracy z młodzieżą̨
  • Warsztaty poświęcone meteorologii w rejsie morskim
  • Węzły źle stosowane
  • Rejs całą Wisłą od źródeł do ujścia

Gośćmi specjalnymi targów będą znani żeglarze, konstruktorzy jachtów oraz właściciele marin. Codziennie podczas Boatshow, w tawernie koncertować będą zespoły szantowe. Zaplanowano także kilkadziesiąt wydarzeń towarzyszących.

Can I paint the bottom of the boat with polyurethane paint?

Yes, you can paint the bottom of the boat with polyurethane paint due to its high mechanical strength. We recommend this solution when the boat is not launched for a long time and is not exposed to fouling.

Do you have to paint the scratched side of the boat?

If the scratches are not deep, then we can renew the scratched side by polishing with Sea-Line polishing pastes. Above the waterline, when the scratches are not deep, the surface can be repaired with a DRY FAST gel coat filler. Deep scratches should be filled with epoxy filler (selected depending on the requirements of the scratched surface), painted with a primer and then painted with topcoat.

Why despite the use of antifouing paint the bottom of the boat is overgrown?

Possible causes

  • Too thin layer of antifouling paint,
  • Choosing the wrong antifouling to type of a boat or yacht
  • Thinning of antifouling paint,
  • Incorrect surface preparation before antifouling application.

How to prevent

  • Apply the right layer thickness of paint indicated by manufacturer,
  • Choose antifouling dedicated to type of boat or yacht and suitable for the type of water,
  • Do not thin antifouling because of the risk of reducing effectiveness,
  • Careful surface preparations (grinding, clearing, degreasing),

How to remove

  • Wet grinding, apply new layers of antifouling paint.
  • Use C1 shell and fouling remover.
