NOVEMBER – Time for meetings

After a long break, November again becomes a meeting time for our industry. We are very pleased to invite you to visit the Warsaw Yacht Show on November 5-7 and METS Amsterdam on November 16-18.

The Warsaw event takes place for the fifth time and at that time it has gained the status of the largest yacht exhibition in Poland. It is intended for both hobbyists and professionals. It will be an opportunity to talk personally with representatives of the Sea-Line brand who will always be happy to advise you on technical issues, how and what to paint on the yacht, how to protect the hull against osmosis or fouling.

The METS Marine Equipment Trade Show is a B2B event that has been the largest event for the yacht equipment and accessories industry for many years. Traditionally, we offer free tickets for people from the industry. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to info@sea-line.eu

See you in Warsaw and Amsterdam!

Our FAQ answers to frequently asked questions

Can I use universal thinner?

We do not recommend using universal thinners. The use of a thinner with an unknown composition may result in loss of adhesion, lack of proper flow of paint and varnish defects.

Can I paint a boat, previously painted with 1 component paint, with polyurethane?

It is not recommended to apply 2K paints over 1K paints. 1K and 2K inks differ in their composition and properties, including hardness, chemical resistance and durability. 1K paints are one-component and dry by evaporating the solvent, while 2K paints are two-component and need to be cured by adding a hardener. Applying 2K paint over 1K paint can cause unpredictable chemical reactions and lead to undesirable effects such as dulling, chipping or flaking of the paint. Therefore, always use paints according to the manufacturer’s instructions and do not mix different types of paints. farby zgodnie z instrukcjami producenta i nie mieszać różnych rodzajów farb.

Can I use selfpolishing Sea-Line and HARD Sea-Line antifoulings on aluminium boat?

Sea-Line HARD and Sea-Line self-polishing antifouling are not intended for aluminum surfaces. They include copper oxide, which in contact with aluminum causes galvanic corrosion. Especially on aluminum, we offer ALU-PLUS self-polishing anti-fouling paint, which, in addition to excellent adhesion to aluminum, is also 30% more effective than traditional anti-fouling paints.
